Watches & Wonders Day 1: The novelties

CHRONEXT

The Watches & Wonders Fair 2023 opened its doors today and we summarise the highlights of the first day for you. Today, many of the latest models of the luxury watch industry have already been presented, but especially the novelties from Rolex and Tudor caught our attention.

Rolex: New colours for the Sky-Dweller

One of the most remarkable novelties introduced by Rolex today are the new references of the fascinating Sky-Dweller collection. A total of three new models were unveiled with new dial colours: mint green, deep white and brilliant blue. The Sky-Dweller is one of Rolex's most complicated watches and features a second time zone and an annual calendar. The colours of the new dials give this watch a refreshing touch and are sure to delight many watch lovers.

Another novelty from Rolex is the Explorer I in 40mm. This watch is a classic and is much appreciated by many watch enthusiasts. The new Explorer 40 is slightly larger and has an updated dial that is even easier to read.

Tudor: A new Black Bay

Tudor has also introduced a new watch: The Black Bay with a black dial and red rotating bezel. This watch pays homage to Tudor's diving watches from the 1950s and combines classic design with modern technology. The dial is very easy to read and the red bezel gives the watch a touch of sportiness.

Omega: A new era for James Bond

Omega has unveiled a new Seamaster to mark the 60th anniversary of James Bond. The watch features a blue over oxalic acid anodised aluminium dial with laser engraved waves reminiscent of the Seamaster Diver 300M worn by James Bond in GoldenEye in 1995. Instead of the traditional inverted triangle, there is a 60 on the diving scale. This watch is a must for all James Bond fans and watch lovers.

Watches & Wonders: Day 1

Overall, today's new releases at the Watches & Wonders 2023 show were impressive. Rolex and Tudor were particularly convincing with their new models and will certainly find many fans. We are thrilled with the quality and design of the watches and look forward to having them ready for delivery in our online shop soon.
