The hallmark feature of the timepiece is the JLC Calibre 381 that utilises two energy sources – a concept that is also reflected in the name of Duomètre. The first source of energy is allocated to the precise chronograph function and is regulated by the escapement and the balance. The second source of energy is distributed to the display functions of the watch, which, depending on the model, include the hours, minutes, seconds, calendar, and moon phase displays for both hemispheres. Thanks to the two energy sources, the Duomètre has enough energy for complex complications. The two-part design of the timepiece is clearly reflected in the face of the watch, which features two decentralised dials. The tourbillon takes its place on the left-hand side of the watch with particularly distinctive models from the series.
