The first functional watch featuring an in-house Tudor caliber
Watchmakers recognise that Tudor opened a new chapter in its brand history with the launch of the Tudor North Flag. This watch is not only a reliable companion but is designed for day-to-day adventures: in 2015, the models were also equipped with the first Tudor designed and made movement. With the powerful MT5621 caliber of the Tudor North Flag, the watches have a generous power reserve of approximately 70 hours, thus exceeding the average power reserve of many other functional watches designed for use in extreme conditions.
With the North Flag series, Tudor is fully able to offer a watch that is not only a precision timepiece but meets the requirements and status of a scientific instrument. With a high-temperature tolerance and water resistance of up to 100-metres, the North Flag is well prepared for use in Arctic regions. The certified accuracy of 4 to 6 seconds is guaranteed by a silicon balance which is also non-magnetic.
The minimalist dial with its arrow-shaped hour hand is completed with a date display at 3 o'clock and a power reserve display at 9 o'clock. The fact that this is display is designed to resemble a fuel gauge underlines the sporty character of this watch series. The stainless steel case is complemented by a beautifully designed stainless steel and ceramic bezel.
Depending on your tastes, the watches in this series are available with stainless steel or leather bracelets. The latter is finished with yellow stitching, offering an interesting and sporty contrast to the black leather.
