Arguably the sportiest Black Bay ever
The first Tudor Black Bay Chrono was released in 2017. Even the original model offered a water resistance of 200 metres and a high-quality calibre based on the Breitling B01 manufacture movement. With its features, the Black Bay Chrono is a true jack-of-all-trades. Yet the watch is much more than a cheaper alternative to the Daytona: the chronograph offers all the features for which Tudor is known and appreciated worldwide. These include enormous resistance and designs that convince with unconventional design features – true to the Tudor slogan "born to dare".
Since the presentation of the new Tudor Black Bay Chrono 2021, the Geneva-based manufacturer has offered you four different models:
- Black Bay Chrono Steel
- Black Bay Chrono S&G (Bi-Colour)
- Black Bay Chrono 2021 Panda
- Black Bay Chrono 2021 Reverse Panda
New flagship: Tudor Black Bay Chrono 2021
With the Black Bay Chrono 2021, Tudor has introduced a revised successor to the Black Bay Chrono Steel. The new chrono flagship continues the style of the Black Bay Chrono S&G - but only in stainless steel. Compared to its predecessor, the 2021 version offers a highly modern in-house calibre and harmonious vintage details. One of the most important differences is the reduced overall height of now 14.4 millimetres. The new MT5813 calibre has already been used in the Black Bay Chrono S&G. Among other things, it has a 70-hour power reserve and a silicone hairspring.
While the Black Bay Chrono Steel was only available with an all-black dial, the Black Bay Chrono 2021 takes up the design of the vintage Daytona Ref. 6263: The dial is either black with white totalisers (Panda) or white with black totalisers (Reverse Panda).
