Oyster since 1926
For around 100 years, the Geneva-based manufacturer has been using waterproof Oyster cases to protect their movements inside - like an oyster protects its pearl. When the case was presented in 1926, it was nothing less than the world's first waterproof wristwatch. Just one year later, swimmer Mercedes Gleitze set out to cross the English Channel. She wore a Rolex Oyster, and it remained intact.
Impressive variety of dials
Despite its captivating simplicity, the Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 is available with numerous dials. Since 2020, you can also choose from colourful dials known by the nickname "Stella". Due to the model's long history, you will only find some dial variants on the second-hand market. If you are after a special dial, it may be worth buying the Oyster Perpetual 36 second-hand. The most popular versions worldwide include the following watches:
- Oyster Perpetual 36 black
- Oyster Perpetual 36 green
- Oyster Perpetual 36 blue
- Oyster Perpetual 36 yellow
