The Ref. IW377709 features a chronograph with a 12-hour display, and totalizers located at 6, 9 and 12 o'clock. At 3 o'clock, there is a day-date display typical of the Pilot's Watch chronograph, which shows both the day of the week and the date.

Since the 1930s, the Schaffhausen-based manufacturer IWC has focused on the production of instrumental pilot's watches. The first model appeared in 1936, but the Ref. After assembly, the Schaffhausen manufactory runs each calibre for three weeks to ensure stable and reliable movement performance. The power reserve of calibre 79320 is 44 hours; the movement runs at 4 hertz (28,000 A/h).
