In order to find work in this tense market environment, Michel Parmigiani set up his own business and specialised in the restoration of historical watches. In this discipline, he was to achieve world fame for the first time. The second time he achieved this feat was with the Parmigiani watches named after him, with which he has been demonstrating his expertise with his own brand since 1996.
